We all know that working out and eating correctly is vital to your body being a lean, mean machine. But, are you taking good care of your body beyond the gym and salad? When it comes to doing the best for your body, we are all guilty of leaving this to the wayside. There are some incredible things that you can do for your body to ensure that you are maximising its potential. After all, your body is a temple. It’s time to treat it like one.

  1.    Sleep

While this may sound commonsensical, let’s face it, us hard working guys are barely able to get a full eight hours. It’s time to reclaim the art of sleep. Not only that, you need to make sure that you are getting quality sleep. Not only does this aid your body with rest and recuperation, but it can also help with your workout regimen. If you have found that you are not getting anywhere with the weights, a lack of sleep could be a major contributor to this. So, it’s time to start focussing on quality sleep. Aim for 6 to 8 hours per night. Instil a bedtime routine. Yes, you’re not a child. But, you need to make sure that your body is fully rested.
  1.    Breakfast

When was the last time that you ate breakfast? And by this, a good breakfast full of healthy foods and nutrients? A grab and go bar and a cup of Joe are not the way to start the day. You need to make sure that you are eating breakfast in the morning to speed up your metabolism. You will have more energy by doing so. Juice your breakfast if need be. But, make sure that you are getting fruit, pulses and cereals as part of your morning regime. 1

  1.    Ditch the Toxins

One of the most incredible things that you can do for your body is to rid it of toxins. No, you don’t have to detox. But, quitting smoking and drinking less beer can be a great way to get your body in prime, physical condition. According to the VaporizerBlog, there are now even easier ways to kick cigarettes. You don’t have to become a saint or a monk. But, you need to consider the toxins that you put in your body. The all weekend sessions with the lads need to come to an end at some point. If you are eager to make your body a well-oiled machine, think about the crap that you put into it. Cut it out and feel great.
  1.    Get on the Tea Hype

Green tea is a great way of making sure that your body is jam packed with all the goodness that it needs. Ditching caffeine may be hard. But, you need to make sure that you are upping your green and herbal tea intake. This aids your body with nutrition. What’s more, the antioxidants are perfect for making you feel more alert. Beat that sluggish feeling in the morning and ensure that you are getting your fix of green tea.
