If you have ever been put on the spot in the pub by a mate suggesting to all the lads you should do ‘that trick’, you might actually wish you had some fresh material to offer. Party tricks are a great way to keep the mood light and entertain your mates when you are out or at a house party. For most of us, we wish we had a whole bag of great material because we love being the center of attention. Even those of us who feel a bit shy in the crowd, having a great party trick would be a fab way to help us come out of our shells. If you are looking for something jaw dropping, you might want to try an illusion or magic trick from somewhere like Magic Nevin. Alternatively, perhaps you have some physical strength tricks you could try. You may have an aptitude for numbers or memorizing facts. These and any other skills you have can be great party pieces to use. But, of course, once you have tried them out once, they may quickly get a bit tired, and you’ll need to find the next thing. If you love being the center of attention, or at least aspire to be the center of attention in social groups, you might be looking for an outlet. Being able to take the stage to provide entertainment for a big crowd can be quite intimidating for some people, but also something others crave and long for. Finding opportunities to get up on stage needn’t be hard. You can search online for upcoming talent shows in your local area. You may even be ready to try an open mic night. Whatever spurs you on to give it a go, find it and get ready to work the crowd.

Sometimes, nerves get the better of us, or we are just shy blokes who could never draw attention to ourselves. Whichever category you fall into, if you’re not happy in the skin you’re in, it may be time to address it. If you are a bit shy, push yourself into situations you are not normally comfortable with. Tackling shyness can be a challenge. Like most things, exposure to environments that make us nervous will soon help us feel used to them. If you merely lack confidence, then take the time to get to know the real you. If you are comfortable with who you are, that comes across as confidence to other people. Making the eye contact as well as maintaining it helps people to see you as someone they can admire. Combine that with a good posture and a smile, and you may have a winning combination! At first it may seem fake, like one of the illusions from the magic tricks. But if you practice it regularly, it can become second nature. You need a chance to gauge people’s reactions to this new, confident you, so make sure you take the time to do that. Soon you’ll be up on that stage wowing the crowds.©2024 Hanks Journey.
